To NewYork on the Fung Wah

Yesterday we took the bus from Boston to New York on the Fung Wah bus, which is one of several Chinatown buses. They are called that because they go from Chinatown to Chinatown. It only cost $15 for a four hour bus ride. We got in around noon, checked in and went to Times Square and saw a matinee of Memphis, which is about a white DJ playing black music in the 50's. We enjoyed the show. We then had dinner with Auntie Gim and family. She is now 95 and can still climb the 6 flights of stairs up yo her apartment. Here family thinks all the years of stair climbing has kept her healthy.

Today the weather was drizzly, but that didn't stop us from seeing ground zero, which was under construction, taking the free ferry to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty, the Wall St. Bull, Central Park, & the Empire State Building. We had dinner in Little Italy At Di Nicosia, a place that Mary suggested. There were pictures of a lot of famous people that ate there. The people next to us were speaking Italian. But I thought my veal topped with eggplant and cheese was too salty.
