Desert Oasis

We spent a week at the Sheraton Desert Oasis.  It's a time share that we rented from the Hata's.  It was a pretty nice place.  I played golf a couple of times.  I would have played once more, but sprained my ankle the first round.  We took a side trip to Sedona & did a few desert walks.  There are a lot of older people in this area.

 A suguaro cactus can live to 200 years old.  It doesn't grow arms until 75 and can hold a ton of water.

 There was an arts festival in Old Scottsdale.  New Scottsdale is primarily timeshares & malls.

 The TPC Scottsdale is right next to where we stayed.  This is the tournament where the spectators sit in grandstands and cheer or boo players, which is generally not acceptable in golf.  The tournament ended the day we got there.

 There were nice walks in the Sonoran Preserve which was close to town.  The trails are well used.
